Wherever the eye reachesmountains! Solitude, tranquility, the singing of birds,
the humming of bees, the smell of forest and herbsthis is the Majdač farm, 900
meters above sea level. Setting off for a days hiking, guests stuff their knapsacks
with homemade salami, Savinjski želodec, cheese, cottage cheese, and other
goodies. Anica spoils her guests with various vegetable and milk dishes, žganci,
žlikrofi, štruklji, and many varieties of strudel, potica, and donuts. They also
have an apartment on Grohot alpine meadow below Mount Raduha, 1460
meters above sea level. Guests can rent bicycles, sleds, and bows on the farm.
There is a sled run on the farm, a ski slope is nearby, and you can ride a bicycle to
the Logarska dolina valley. The interesting sights of Ljubno, Luče, Solčava, Igla,
Robanov kot, and Matkov kot also await visitors.

For anyone who longs for peace and quietness and wants to be alone with
nature, Robanov kot is the perfect setting. The Govc-Vršnik farm stands alone
in the valley of this landscape park with a wonderful view of the Savinja Alps.
The whole family is involved in preparing and serving the delicious local dishes
which they have been preparing on the farm, with the help of Mamma Nina
and her recipes, for several decades: sirnica (a cheese soup which is a speciality
of the Solčava district), polenta, home-made sausages, ricotta-filled strudels,
žlikrofi (ravioli) filled with meat or vegetables, skuta (a ricotta-like soft cheese),
sour milk and the farm's own cured meat products. The farm is also an excellent
starting point for hiking and hillwalking: Robanov Kot, Logarska Dolina, Potočka
Zijalka, Snežna Jama, Ojstrica, and so on. After returning from a hike you can
relax your muscles and spirit in the farm's saunas and massage tub.

The Bevšek-Ošep farm, located where the Bela stream joins the Savinja River,
is an excellent starting point for hiking and climbing in the mountains. Its
buildings are decorated with colourful frescoes, and it boasts a several-centuryold
plague shrine. Beside the small new hydroelectric power plant stands an
old wooden saw mill–the mix of old and new is a special feature of this tourist
farm. The hosts offer almost everything to eat the heart might desire, but their
specialties include homemade savinjski zelodec, salami, cottage cheese and
cheese štruklji, žlikrofi, and apple and cheese pies. Guests come to Robanov
kot and the Bevšek-Ošep farm for holidays or just weekends. Nearby Logarska
dolina and the surrounding area have a lot to offer including countless hiking
trails, climbs to two-thousand meter high peaks, caves, the Savinja River, bicycle
trails, tennis courts, jogging paths, ski slopes, and a variety of interesting social
and cultural events in any season.

On the foothills of Mt. Raduha, in the immediate vicinity of the Snow Cave
(Snežna jama), you will come across the Zgornji Zavratnik farm that has been
welcoming tourists for four decades. The delicious food offered on the farm –
meat and dairy products, vegetables, homemade pasta, desserts and drinks –
respects the ancient traditions of the region.The farm is suitable for families with
children since there are various farm animals and a big playground, but is also
well-suited for those who prefer active holidays since there are many possibilities
for walking, hiking and cycling. There is a tennis court and a volleyball court
near the house. The Savinja river and its tributaries offer many possibilities
for water sports and fishing. If you like adrenaline, you may try canyoning,
skydiving or climbing. The owners can organize guided excursions by bus in the
Upper Savinja Valley to Logarska Valley or to Mozirski gaj. After a day filled with
various activities, you can relax in a mini wellness center on the farm featuring a
Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna and a Jacuzzi. The farm can also accommodate
larger groups of visitors for which various theme programs can be prepared.
