In the nearby settlement of Pristava you will find the Kozarčan Farm, on a 222-metre hill surrounded by vineyards.The farm has two fishponds, rooms with en suite bathrooms and self-contained apartments. A function room seating up to 60 guests for celebrations such as anniversaries, New Year parties, business meetings and seminars is available and includes modern conference technology.We serve guests with home-made food that will delight even the most demanding diners. After a day by the fish pond, you can fry your catch on the barbecues or the hosts will prepare it for you. The house specialty is also fish: trout fried baked corn flour, carp, and other fish. In autumn, they roast chestnuts, make jams, etc. There is plenty of space for outdoor games, and in summer you can jump into the swimming pool. T G P R O M E R J I P HT N S V F The Grobelnik tourist farm is situated in Podvrh, a small village on the southern slopes of Veliki Vrh. The farm is known for its excellent food accompanied by chosen herbs from their own garden. Among its specialties is definitely the so-called winegrower's feast, and you will also enjoy their delicious meat and buckwheat dishes. All those who like to revive the memory of all that delicious country food after returning home must visit the farm shop where they can choose among various nicely packaged products. Most popular products include wine grape juice, wine and herb liqueurs, tea and jams. It is also interesting to visit the wine cellar, especially is there is a wine tasting in the company of a trained sommelier. The tasting also includes tasting of natural grape juice (šipon) that will delight all wine lovers. The farm's location is good both for the guests who come to seek peace and quiet as for those who are looking for active holidays. Team building programs for groups can be organized on the farm. There are various outdoor facilities for sports and recreation, and you can also rent mountain bikes on the farm. Interesting sights in the area are: Bohor and its waterfalls, Ajdovski gradec, Lisca, Veliki Vrh and Planina pri Sevnici, but you can also find many interesting corners on the farm itself and in its immediate vicinity.

(by prior arrangement) T G O E V C J I R M Q At the end of an idyllic valley, surrounded by vineyards and a small deciduous forest, stands the Pudvoi Tourist Farm in Stara vas in Bizeljsko. The hostess, an excellent cook, makes the traditional Bizeljsko buckwheat cake in the bread oven as well as many other delicious dishes. At the farm you can also taste high quality wines, homemade brandy, apple cider, fruit, and fruit juices. Along with the old farm, the Ogorevc family acquired two repnicas used by the previous owner to store produce and fruit. Since repnicas, caves dug into siliceous sand for storing crops, are a natural attraction of the Bizeljsko region, your first adventure awaits you right on the farm. Today the Ogorevcs have three repnicas. The one they dug themselves is connected to the cellar and is used to store homemade bottled wines. In this land of sandy soil there are also many other sights that invite you to visit: the Nujčev oak tree, Bizeljsko Castle, the Brežice Regional Museum, other repnicas, the Istenič champagne cellar, and much more. G Q K G V C J I R M Q Nujec is the homestead name used by the Balon family for purposes of better recognition of this winemaking family in Bizeljsko. The centuries-old name Nujec originates from their homestead in the village of Gregovce with an underground wine cellar that can store up to 50.000 litres of wine right between the roots of the oldest oak tree in Slovenia. Although the oak tree has already succumbed to old age and the great Capricorn beetle, it is still magnificent and worth seeing. The oak is also a symbol of our wines. The farm comprises 20 hectares of farmland, 5 hectares of which are vineyards. There are a total of around 25.000 grape vines. In the center of Bizeljsko we have a wine shop that can receive up to 45 people. It also has a tasting room where you can taste a wide range of our wines accompanied by homemade cold cuts containing salami, ham, bacon and smoked shoulder butt. All these homemade specialties are made from pigs grown on our farm and fed homegrown food, which provides us with high-quality pork for making our products. Come and visit us in Bizeljsko, where you will be able to feel our connection with our vineyards. T G K N A U OT GU N E V C J I R L A M Q The Vimpolšek family farm is located on the outskirts of Brežice, surrounded by meadows, fields and a forest. The owners have embraced integrated farming methods in growing produce and vegetables; they also grow free-range poultry and pigs and are known as excellent winemakers – no wonder then that there are always delicious aromas wafting from their kitchen. The hostess still prepares dishes based on her grandmother's recipes. Some of the traditional dishes found on the menu are smoked pork shank with sauerkraut and buckwheat žganci, osukana župa (a type of soup) with cracklings, posiljeno zelje (a cabbage dish) with beans, white polenta with cracklings, buckwheat cake… And this is just a small part of their rich and varied culinary offer. Vegetarians are well provided for. The Vimpolšeks will also offer their guests their excellent wine. The farm is children-friendly and has a children's playground. The hosts can also teach you how to make hay using a scythe and how to thrash grains. The farm is an excellent starting point for visiting the castle in Brežice, the swimming pools in Terme Čatež, the church of St. Vid, the castle and golf course in Mokrice and repnicas (caves dug into siliceous sand for storing crops) in Bizeljsko. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. T E O V C N K J I L R G Q Visitors are always welcome at the farm in a village right under the parish church. Guests who choose to come can spend their day in a variety of ways. The farm is especially suitable for lovers of archery, riding, rowing and basketball. It is also very child-friendly, as housewife Petra is a kindergarten teacher wellaware of the secrets of the sometimes ‘changeable’ ways of children. In the summertime when the weather is nice, your hosts organise genuine children’s holidays, but will also be happy to look after the babysitting should the parents wish to afford themselves a short trip to nearby attractions. Sv Vid, a wonderful viewpoint, is not far from the farm and may be reached on foot. Other popular attractions include Mokrice castle, Kostanjevica with its unique Forma Viva, the winegrowing hills of Bizeljsko and Brežice, while lovers of aqua fun should never forget to visit Terme Čatež, a real magnet for children on hot summer days. 47
