New build
“Kainzenbadstrasse
South“
Kainzenbadstrasse 13 - 23
and 26 - 36
Building in the heart of the Maikäfer
Estate whilst preserving its character and
green spaces with old trees was a challenge.
Fortunately, the Lenz + Partner
architecture firm had already gained
considerable experience during the
Kainzenbadstrasse North and Höhenstadter
Strasse builds, and was able to
apply this expertise to the Kainzenbadstrasse
South project. The result was
108 subsidised apartments, ranging
from single tenancies to family-sized
units.
Once again, the buildings were invisibly
connected by an underground garage.
And again, the designers made plenty of
use of light-coloured woods, adding
large external stairways leading from the
first storeys to the gardens. The buildings
and grounds were completed in
September 2002, forming a substantial
part of the Maikäfer Estate’s green
heartland.
