Section 4.0 - Blackbm Treatment Options Key technical issues associated with this option are as follows: Extent to which the I/I reduction program is able to reduce peak wet weather flows must be evaluated. City must maintain operation of Blackbum WWTP; O&M costs associated with lagoon operation will not be significantly lower that for current operation. Expansion of the existing lagoons will not be required. Ammonia toxicity of lagoon emuent needs to be addressed. Major capital works required to transfer and proportion flows to Lansdowne Road WWTP and to Blackburn WWTP. Condition and capacity of the existing Mackus Road pumpstation must be evaluated. Details for pipeline routes for transferring Blackbum sewage flows to Lansdowne Road WWTP must be evaluated, as well as, pumping of wet weather flows to Blackburn WWTP.
