Main lines of research
Molecular mechanisms involved in the development of
insulin resistance and the identification of novel targets for
diabetes therapy:
a) analysis of the role of mitochondrial dynamics proteins in
metabolic homeostasis, in the control of insulin signalling,
and in the response to cell stress,
b) a study of the role of DOR protein in insulin resistant
states,
c) analysis of the physiological role of neuregulins in skeletal
muscle.
