Board. He shall perform for the* the duties^ <strong>of</strong> the County<br />
Superintendent <strong>of</strong> Health as laid down in Chapter 214, l^aws<strong>of</strong> 189o, and<br />
such other duties as may be imposed by the Board, including the collection<br />
<strong>of</strong> vital st<strong>at</strong>istics, which he shall use every effort to make as full and<br />
accur<strong>at</strong>e as possible, especially such as rel<strong>at</strong>e to the cause <strong>of</strong> de<strong>at</strong>h. He<br />
shall notify the Secretary <strong>of</strong> the St<strong>at</strong>e Board <strong>of</strong> Health <strong>of</strong> his election<br />
and shall make such reports and answer such inquiries concerning the<br />
sanitary condition <strong>of</strong> thef ,<br />
diseases prevalent, vital st<strong>at</strong>istics,<br />
etc., as may be required by the St<strong>at</strong>e Board <strong>of</strong> Health. He shall hold<br />
his <strong>of</strong>fice for years, and until his successor is appointed<br />
and has qualified.<br />
Sec. 4. <strong>The</strong>* Clerk shall be ex <strong>of</strong>ficio Secretary <strong>of</strong> the Board.<br />
He shall keep a full and accur<strong>at</strong>e record <strong>of</strong> all business done <strong>at</strong> its meetings.<br />
He shall cause to be published in the newspapers <strong>of</strong> the*<br />
and by printed or written notices, to be posted inf all orders,<br />
,<br />
rules and regul<strong>at</strong>ions <strong>of</strong> the Board, which pablic<strong>at</strong>ion shall be deemed<br />
legal notice <strong>of</strong> the same to all persons. He shall file and keep for reference<br />
all reports, complaints, orders or other papers rel<strong>at</strong>ing to<br />
the business<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Board. He shall also keep, in a book provided for the purpose,<br />
a full and complete record in detail <strong>of</strong> all vital st<strong>at</strong>istics.<br />
Sec. 5. <strong>The</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Health may, with the approval and consent <strong>of</strong><br />
the Board <strong>of</strong> J electa speciaHj , or use one<br />
<strong>of</strong> the regular force, who shall be known as the Sanitary Inspector.<br />

Sec. 6. <strong>The</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Health, through its health <strong>of</strong>ficer, shall make a<br />
report annually in ]March, for the preceding twelve months ending with<br />
the last day <strong>of</strong> February, to tiie Board <strong>of</strong> j<br />
Sec. 7. Wh<strong>at</strong>ever is dangerous to human life or health, wh<strong>at</strong>ever renders<br />
the air or food or w<strong>at</strong>er or other drink unwholesome, and wh<strong>at</strong>ever<br />
building, erection, or part or cellar there<strong>of</strong>, is overcrowded or not provided<br />
with adequ<strong>at</strong>e means <strong>of</strong> ingress and egress, or is not sufficiently<br />
supported, ventil<strong>at</strong>ed, drained, cleaned or lighted, are declared to be<br />
nuisances, and to be illegal; and every person having aided in cre<strong>at</strong>ing<br />
or contributing to the same, or who may support, continue or retain any<br />
<strong>of</strong> them, shall be deemed guilty <strong>of</strong> a viol<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> this ordinance, and<br />
also be liable for the expense <strong>of</strong> the ab<strong>at</strong>ement and i-emed\' therefor.<br />
