and it shall be lawful for any registered physician residing in this*<br />

, on applic<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> such resident adult, or parent, master<br />

or guardian <strong>of</strong> such resident minor, as is unable by reason <strong>of</strong> poverty<br />

to pay the vaccin<strong>at</strong>ion fee, to vaccin<strong>at</strong>e said adult or said minor and<br />

present his bill therefor, properly authentic<strong>at</strong>ed, for an amount not<br />

exceeding the fee iisually charged for such services, and to recover the<br />

same <strong>of</strong> and from the corpor<strong>at</strong>ion, f<br />

Sec. 23. Every undertaker or other person who may have charge <strong>of</strong><br />

the funeral <strong>of</strong> any dead person shall procure a properly filled out certific<strong>at</strong>e<br />

<strong>of</strong> the de<strong>at</strong>h and its probable cause, in accordance with the form<br />

prescribed by the St<strong>at</strong>e Board <strong>of</strong> Health (no other to be valid), and shall<br />

present the same to the design<strong>at</strong>ed otlicer or member <strong>of</strong> the local Board<br />

<strong>of</strong> Health and obtain a burial or transit permit thereupon <strong>at</strong> least twentyfour<br />

hours before the time appointed for such funeral or removal; and<br />

neither lie nor an}- other person shall remove any dead body until such<br />

burial or transit permit shall have been procured.<br />

Sec. 24. Every person undertaking prepar<strong>at</strong>ions for the burial <strong>of</strong> a body<br />

dead from communicable disease as hereinbefore enumer<strong>at</strong>ed shall adopt<br />

such precautions as are set forth in the "Instructions for Quarantine and<br />

Disinfection," furnished by the St<strong>at</strong>e Board <strong>of</strong> Health, to prevent the<br />

spread <strong>of</strong> such disease.<br />

Sec. 25. Every physician or midwife <strong>at</strong>tending or present <strong>at</strong> the l)irih<br />

<strong>of</strong> any human being within the shall, wdthin twenty-four hours<br />

thereafter, certify the same to the health <strong>of</strong>ficerj upon blanks prescribed<br />

by the St<strong>at</strong>e Board <strong>of</strong> Health to be furnished by said health <strong>of</strong>ficer. In<br />

case there be no <strong>at</strong>tending physician or midwife, then the next <strong>of</strong> kin or<br />

other person present <strong>at</strong> such birth shall, within twenty-four hours thereafter,<br />

report the same to the health <strong>of</strong>ficer, who shall then have the<br />

proper blank filled out.<br />

Sec. 27. Such pertinent portions <strong>of</strong> chapter 214, Laws <strong>of</strong> 189o, as are<br />

not included in the above sections are hereby adopted as a part <strong>of</strong> this<br />

ordinance.<br />

Sec. 28. Every person viol<strong>at</strong>ing any section <strong>of</strong> this ordinance shall be<br />

liable for every such <strong>of</strong>fense, upon conviction before the mayor or other<br />
