• Has the PSM selected a PSI from DoD or industry to coordinate the work and business<br />

relationships needed to satisfy the performance-based agreement<br />

• Has the PSI been formally bound or charged with integrating all sources of support<br />

within the scope of the PBL agreement<br />

• Has the PM ensured that the product support concept is integrated with other logistics<br />

support and combat support functions<br />

• Have <strong>Defense</strong> Logistics Agency (DLA) and candidate depot (ALCs and others Services’<br />

depots) activities been invited to participate in product support strategy development<br />

and IPTs<br />

6. Develop Workload Allocation Strategy<br />

• Have the specific capabilities required to perform the desired sustainment functions<br />

7. Develop the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Strategy<br />

• Has an SCM strategy been developed to consider the supply support needs<br />

• Have system-unique consumable items been identified<br />

o Has DLA been considered as the source of support for these items<br />

• Have common consumable items been identified<br />

• Has consideration been given to drawing down unique DoD inventory before buying<br />

spares and repairs from private sources<br />

• Do the SCM strategies for these items address:<br />

o Distribution processes<br />

o Asset visibility<br />

o Obsolescence management<br />

o Transportation management<br />

8. Establish the PBAs<br />

• Has a formal relationship been established (contract, Memorandum of Understanding<br />

(MOU), Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) or SLA as applicable) among stakeholders<br />

to achieve agreement on expected levels of operational support and performance<br />
