o Category codes (e.g., Source, Maintenance and Recoverability [SMR]<br />

Codes) are identified for SE.<br />

o Manufacturers’ part numbers, nomenclatures, descriptions, estimated<br />

prices, and recommended SE quantities.<br />

5. Installation Requirements<br />

• The types of facilities required to support and sustain the new or modified X U U<br />

system have been identified, such as:<br />

o Barracks space (including utilities).<br />

o Parking aprons and hangar space for aircraft.<br />

o Support facilities, supply warehouses, transit sheds, maintenance<br />

facilities, and training facilities (for both classrooms and trainers for<br />

operational training and maintenance training, including required<br />

product/technical data to ensure efficient/effective support of facilities).<br />

o Enroute support requirements when the system requires some level of<br />

support for continental U.S. and outside continental U.S. activities that<br />

are not regular homeports/support sites.<br />

• The facilities support requirements are usually documented in the LCMP, X U U<br />

appropriate funding strategy documents and/or the program’s Facilities<br />

Management Plan or its equivalent.<br />

• Basic facilities requirements have been developed according to the appropriate<br />

military handbook (MIL-HDBK-1190, DoD Facility Planning and Design<br />

Guide, September 1, 1987, and the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Mil Std<br />

3007B).<br />
