Testing<br />

1. Attach an air fi tting to the 1 /4" tee (#41) on the side of the<br />

valve body.<br />

2. Using 25 psi compressed air, pressurize the valve and bleed it<br />

down several times, check the following features:<br />

Tightening Sequence<br />

A. Smooth valve operation. The valve piston should have a fl uid<br />

operation. It should not stick or jump.<br />

B. Indicating Slot (#36) Position. The indicator on the side of the<br />

valve should be horizontal when the valve is closed and vertical<br />

when the valve is open. It should rotate counterclockwise<br />

as the valve is opening.<br />

3. After testing, the strainer (#3) can be secured to the cylinder.<br />

Re-Installing the Flomatic in the Container<br />

1. Install new gaskets (#45, #46) on the inlet and outlet side<br />

of valve.<br />

2. Tighten the stud nuts gradually in a sequence of alternate and<br />

opposite direction. See Figure 5.<br />

3. Pressurize the container with vapor, check all fittings<br />

and flange connections for leaks using a suitable leak<br />

detection solution.<br />
