A3213TL Thermal Latch
for A3212R, A3212RT, A3213A & A3213T
Series Internal Valves
How the Thermal Latch Works
When the valve’s operating lever is moved to the open position, the
latch automatically holds the lever open. If exposed to fire or extreme
heat, the built-in fusible element is designed to melt and return the
operating lever to the closed position. It is designed to release when
temperature reaches 212° F.
Thermal Latch Installation — Refer to diagram below
1. Position spacer between latch and internal valve.
2. Secure assembly with screw.
3. Install short shoulder screw in top hole of lever.
4. To engage latch: Rotate lever and latch assembly until notch in
latch connects on shoulder screw.
