3. Apply loctite to the threads of the seal housing. Carefully install the
Seal Housing and Shaft Subassembly into the valve body and
through the bearing. Torque the seal housing to 750 to 850 in/lbs
using an appropriate 1 1 /4" wrench.
4. Place new cam onto pivot shaft, aligning hex edges so that cam
touches nylon wear button.
5. Install the retaining ring on end of shaft through slot next to the cam.
6. Check to see the stem rotates smoothly by turning the cam.
MANUAL / PNEUMATIC ACTUATOR REASSEMBLY
Manual Actuator Reassembly
1. Place nylon washer onto shaft.
2. Replace the handle and align holes with those on shaft. Secure with
new cotter pin.
Pneumatic Actuator Reassembly
1. Position three spacers between actuator assembly and internal
valve.
2. Secure assembly with screws and lockwashers.
3. Fasten crank arm to pivot shaft with cotter pin.
Functional Testing
Connect a 50 to 60 psig air line through a pressure regulated valve to
the actuator.
Bench Test: Slowly and alternately apply 0 to 35 psig air pressure to
the actuator two or three times while checking for binding and any
interference. Make any necessary adjustment to the actuator open
freely.
Installed Test: Same as the bench test, except a higher air pressure
may be necessary if tank pressure is present.
