After clearance of the on board equipment installed
for safe working Loco /MEMU and fit for
commercial run, the TPWS system will be made
functional in the concerned Loco / MEMU. After
completion of installation, testing and successful
commissioning of TPWS system in the Loco /
MEMU with the on board supply for each batch (as
per Para 4.6 of SCC) of supplied equipments, a
„Provisional Acceptance Certificate‟ (PAC) will be
issued for that batch of equipments after
observance period of one month.
II. Track Side Equipments & Accessories
(a) Immediately after completion of the work at each
sub-sections (i.e.100 Kms, 100Kms, 140 Kms on
Virar -Vadodara section) or still shorter, the
contractor shall certify and advise the Railways in
writing that the installation is (i) complete, (ii) ready
for satisfactory service and (iii) ready to be handed
over. He will also place at the disposal of the
purchaser the required staff for inspection, testing
and putting it into operation.
(b) The test or tests specified in Technical
specification will be conducted jointly by the
Railways and contractor as soon as possible after
receipt of advice regarding completion of one sub -
section by the contractor. The test schedule shall be
furnished by the contractor which will be modified by
mutual discussion between the contractor and
Railway before finalization. Any component,
modules, sub-assemblies or equipment failing
during the commissioning test shall be
replaced/repaired free of cost by contractor.
