TCalculation of Speed: The system shall incorporate
-the necessary hardware and software module for
Raccurate calculation of the train speed duly
Daccounting for wheel slip/skid corrections.
SManufacturer shall submit the details of the speed
O calculation module along with the supporting
Tinternational standards/practices being followed
-world over for the same. Calculation of speed shall
Wbe with an accuracy of ±2% subject to maximum of
E±2 kmph. Further, the variation in wheel diameter
due to normal wear during time period between two
loco maintenance schedules shall not affect
accuracy beyond the limits specified in this clause.
Even if the OnBoard System is suitable for
all types of trains, loco engineering for every
single train type is necessary and has to be
done.
