period, the system availability of complete TPWS<br />

should be comparable to requirement of<br />

specification. The normal day- to-day operations and<br />

diagnosis to the extent possible will be done by the<br />

<strong>Railway</strong>, based on the guidelines provided by the<br />

supplier.<br />

Our understanding is that during warranty<br />

period Purchaser‟s maintenance staff shall<br />

carry out regular maintenance work as per<br />

maintenance plan and maintenance<br />

manuals. Regular maintenance is not in<br />

Contractor‟s scope. Corrective maintenance,<br />

not including the above, and requested in<br />

writing by Purchaser, shall be done by<br />

Contractor. Kindly confirm.<br />

This Para is self explanatory and<br />

OEM/contracor has to undetake<br />

adequate measures to achieve<br />

desired relaibilty figures in<br />

complaice tender conditions and<br />

by the bidder to his obligations under warranty<br />

maintenance and his action plan to deal with the<br />

various situations arising out of hardware and<br />

software fault shall be clearly indicated.<br />

Alstom GAs for as SOR items are concerned, the limit of 25%<br />

would apply to the value of SOR schedule as a<br />

whole and not on individual SOR items. However,<br />

in case of NS items, the limit of 25% would apply on<br />

the individual items irrespective of the manner of<br />

quoting the rate (single percentage rte or individual<br />

item rate).<br />

Our understanding is that the quantity<br />

variation limit of 25% applies to the total<br />

value of the contract and not to any<br />

individual SOR item. Please clarify<br />
