3 <strong>SafeCom</strong> <strong>Go</strong> <strong>HP</strong><br />

The Third party authentication configuration section is used if the <strong>SafeCom</strong><br />

solution should not handle the user authentication.<br />

� Enable third party authentication: Check to make the <strong>SafeCom</strong> solution<br />

check for user credentials that is provided using a non-<strong>SafeCom</strong> login<br />

method. The alternate login method is assumed to be Windows<br />

authentication. In the event that additional configuration should be<br />

necessary this can be accomplished with the XML-based configuration file<br />

and the XML tags: , and . The XML<br />

tags must be enclosed by the XML tag: . Extract<br />

The entire XML-based configuration can be uploaded and edited using the<br />

<strong>SafeCom</strong> Device Utility as described in <strong>SafeCom</strong> G3 Administrator’s<br />

<strong>Manual</strong> D60603.<br />

Note: If the <strong>SafeCom</strong> solution checks and finds both an ID code and a user<br />

logon, then the ID code is prioritized and used. As a minimum, either the<br />

ID code or the User logon must be entered.<br />

The Encryption section can be used to configure max length of encryption<br />

keys.<br />

Choose the max. size according to the descriptions below:<br />

� Asymmetric max. size: Choose between Default, 512, 1024, or 2048. If<br />

Default is chosen then the device complies with the length of the<br />

encryption keys that is specified on the Encryption tab in the Server<br />

properties dialog in <strong>SafeCom</strong> Administrator.<br />

� Symmetric max. size: Choose between Default, 128, or 256. If Default<br />

is chosen then the device complies with the length of the encryption keys<br />

that is specified on the Encryption tab in the Server properties dialog in<br />

<strong>SafeCom</strong> Administrator.<br />
