(Fire Fighting Capability)<br />
DESCRIPTION<br />
A special classification designation given to vessels which have special fire fighting capabilities in<br />
addition to <strong>the</strong>ir regular service but are not specifically built for <strong>the</strong> service intended to be covered by<br />
Part 5, Chapter 9 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>ABS</strong> Rules for Building and <strong>Class</strong>ing Steel Vessels Under 90 meters (295<br />
feet) in Length (i.e. Fire Fighting Vessel <strong>Class</strong> 1, 2 or 3). Such vessels complying with <strong>the</strong>se special<br />
requirements may be distinguished with <strong>the</strong>ir assigned designation followed by <strong>the</strong> special<br />
designation (Fire Fighting Capability).<br />
