SFA (years)<br />
DESCRIPTION<br />
Spectral Fatigue Analysis (SFA) – This notation is assigned to vessels where Spectral Fatigue<br />
Analysis is performed in accordance with an acceptable procedure and criteria, and <strong>the</strong> vessel is built<br />
in accordance with plans approved on <strong>the</strong> basis <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> results <strong>of</strong> such analysis. The vessel will be<br />
distinguished in <strong>the</strong> Record by <strong>the</strong> notation SFA (years). The notation, SFA (years) denotes that<br />
<strong>the</strong> designated fatigue life value is equal to 20 years or greater. The (years) refers to <strong>the</strong> designated<br />
fatigue life equal to 20 years or more (in 5-year increments) as specified by <strong>the</strong> applicant.<br />
