NOTATION<br />
HSC Passenger Craft (A)<br />

HSC Cargo Craft<br />
DESCRIPTION<br />
These notations are assigned to craft that have been built in accordance with <strong>the</strong> requirements <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>ABS</strong> Guide for Building and <strong>Class</strong>ing High-Speed Craft and <strong>the</strong> IMO HSC Code for special types <strong>of</strong><br />
craft and which are approved by <strong>the</strong> Committee for restricted ocean service at <strong>the</strong> assigned freeboards,<br />
will be classed and distinguished in <strong>the</strong> Record by <strong>the</strong> symbols À A1 HSC followed by an<br />
appropriate notation, i.e. Passenger Craft (A), etc.<br />
The (A) and (B) indicate a craft defined as a Category A Passenger Craft and a Category B Passenger<br />
Craft respectively in accordance with <strong>the</strong> IMO HSC Code. The notation “Cargo Craft” defines a<br />
craft that is certified in accordance with <strong>the</strong> IMO HSC Code.<br />
