NOTATION<br />
HSC Government Service<br />
DESCRIPTION<br />
This notation is assigned to special purpose craft, which have been built to <strong>the</strong> satisfaction <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Surveyors to <strong>the</strong> Bureau to arrangements and scantlings approved for <strong>the</strong> particular purpose. Where<br />
approved by <strong>the</strong> Committee for <strong>the</strong> particular service, such craft will be classed and distinguished in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Record by <strong>the</strong> symbols À A1 HSC followed by a description <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> service for which special<br />
modifications to <strong>the</strong> <strong>ABS</strong> Guide for Building and <strong>Class</strong>ing High-Speed Craft have been approved,<br />
e.g., Government Service, etc.<br />
