Ice <strong>Class</strong> I AA, I A, I B, I C<br />

DESCRIPTION<br />

The ice streng<strong>the</strong>ning notations Ice <strong>Class</strong> I AA, I A, I B and I C are optional notations that indicate<br />

that <strong>the</strong> vessel is suitable for navigating <strong>the</strong> waters <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Nor<strong>the</strong>rn Baltic in winter in accordance with<br />

<strong>the</strong> applicable requirements <strong>of</strong> Section 6-1-2 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>ABS</strong> Rules for Building and <strong>Class</strong>ing Steel<br />

Vessels. The ice streng<strong>the</strong>ning requirements <strong>of</strong> Section 6-1-2 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>ABS</strong> Rules for Building and<br />

<strong>Class</strong>ing Steel Vessels are in agreement with <strong>the</strong> Finnish-Swedish Ice <strong>Class</strong> Rules.<br />
