DESCRIPTION<br />
This notation is assigned to a vessel that is designed and constructed for <strong>the</strong> transportation in bulk <strong>of</strong><br />
liquefied natural gas <strong>of</strong> which <strong>the</strong> methane content is more than 80%. The <strong>ABS</strong> vessel type notation<br />
Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier forms part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> classification designation assigned to vessels<br />
built in accordance with Part 5C, Chapter 8 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>ABS</strong> Rules for Building and <strong>Class</strong>ing Steel Vessels.<br />
