DESCRIPTION<br />

This notation is assigned to a vessel that is designed and constructed or adapted and specifically fitted<br />

for <strong>the</strong> carriage in bulk <strong>of</strong> any liquid product listed in Part 5C, Chapter 9, Section 17 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>ABS</strong> Rules<br />

for Building and <strong>Class</strong>ing Steel Vessels. The <strong>ABS</strong> vessel type notation Chemical Carrier forms part<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> classification designation assigned to vessels built in accordance with <strong>the</strong> requirements <strong>of</strong> Part<br />

5C, Chapter 9 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>ABS</strong> Rules for Building and <strong>Class</strong>ing Steel Vessels.<br />
