Standards and approvals<br />
■ Special specifications in different countries<br />
Argentina<br />
In Argentina the approval requirements are based on Resolution<br />
92/98. Since 01.04.2001 circuit-breakers and RCCBs require<br />
approval.<br />
Since 01.04.2002 protective switches up to I n =63A and<br />
U max = 4<strong>40</strong> V require approval and must bear a mark of<br />
conformity.<br />
CCC approval for China<br />
A003617<br />
Since August 1, 2003, CCC approval is required<br />
for all products that are marketed in China.<br />
GOST approval for Russia<br />
A GOST approval is required for all products<br />
that are to be sold in Russia. The GOST mark<br />
has been obligatory on the packaging of all<br />
devices since mid-1998.<br />
All devices delivered to any part of the Russian<br />
Federation must have this customs certification.<br />
South Africa<br />
In South Africa there are approval requirements for circuit-breakers<br />
and busbar trunking systems. Such equipment must bear a<br />
conformity mark.<br />
Romania<br />
In Romania, components which are used in public buildings<br />
must be approved by the Romanian testing authority ICECON.<br />
