BUS 338 Business Ethics (3)<br />
This course provides students with insights into an<br />
organization’s responsibilities to its stakeholders: employees,<br />
customers, shareholders, competitors, and the community at large.<br />
Moral principles and codes of ethics will be examined as the basis<br />
for the standards of leading and managing a commercial enterprise.<br />
BUS 340 Topics in e-Commerce (3)<br />
This course is an introduction to the business models, strategies,<br />
and tactics of doing business in the Internet economy. The course<br />
objective is to build a solid knowledge of e-commerce, current e-<br />
business trends, and the fundamental underlying web technologies,<br />
which will be achieved through case studies and online activities<br />
BUS 348 Business Employment Law (3)<br />
This course presents a concentration of employment legal issues.<br />
Topic focus addresses views from the perspective of both the<br />
employer and employee. Identification and implementation of<br />
relevant laws will be discussed as well as presented within the case<br />
study format.<br />
BUS 360 Business Management (3)<br />
Introduction to the structure and role of business organizations.<br />
Emphasis of discussions concentrates on the business strategies of<br />
planning, organizing, leading and controlling regarding policies and<br />
procedures.<br />
BUS 365 Strategic Planning (3)<br />
A survey of current concepts, models, and practices of strategic<br />
planning and resource allocation in a business organization.<br />
Discussions, exercises, and projects will provide practical<br />
experience with the development of organizational mission, vision<br />
and values statements, external and internal environmental analyses,<br />
long range goals and objectives, and implementation plans.<br />

BUS 366 Leadership Dynamics (3)<br />
This course will develop an awareness of the knowledge,<br />
abilities, and skills that a professional needs in order to perform<br />
effectively in leadership situations. Areas of inquiry include<br />
examination of individual temperament, leadership theory styles,<br />
leader-collaborator relationships, group and organizational<br />
dynamics, problem and decision analysis, and conflict resolution.<br />

An opportunity to engage in business experience in a specific<br />
area of the major field. The internship provides an in-depth analysis<br />
of practical business field experience to prepare students for career<br />

Current topics which deal with on-going facets of accounting.<br />
ACC 201 Accounting and Budgeting (3)<br />
An introduction to accounting information and the basic<br />
accounting cycle. Techniques of accounting for business<br />
transactions, preparation and interpretation of financial statements<br />
for internal control and external reporting and for use in making<br />
sound business decisions, forecasting and budgeting methods. May<br />
not be substituted for ACC 203 or 204.<br />
ACC 203 Accounting Principles I (3)<br />
Development and application of procedures underlying theories<br />
of accounting principles relating to major forms of business<br />
organizations.<br />
ACC 204 Accounting Principles II (3)<br />
Development and application of procedures underlying theories of<br />
accounting principles relating to major forms of business organizations.<br />
This is a continuation of ACC 203. (Prerequisite: ACC 203)<br />

Focuses on the financial aspects of accounting, financial<br />
statements, and applications. Emphasis is placed on three forms of<br />

Introduces concepts in analyzing and interpreting accounting<br />
information in product and service costing and the application of<br />

study of balance sheets; accounting statements analysis.<br />

Comprehensive review of accounting principles with detailed<br />
study of balance sheets; accounting statements analysis. This is a<br />

Course will include in-depth coverage of selected accounting<br />
topics, including, but not limited to, deferred income taxes,<br />
accounting for pension costs, cash flow statements, capitalized<br />

Study of Federal Income Tax law as it applies to individuals.<br />

Tax problems of partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts,<br />
deferred payments, gifts, with particular emphasis on tax planning<br />
