ORDINANCE NO. _____<br />
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER<br />
TO IMPLEMENT TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS<br />
WHEREAS, Chapter 18, Article IV, Parking authorizes the installation and<br />
enforcement <strong>of</strong> Parking Restrictions; and<br />
WHEREAS, Article IV provides for the following types <strong>of</strong> parking restrictions:<br />
prohibited places, marked parking areas, loading zones, and time limits; and<br />
WHEREAS, as a result <strong>of</strong> the new expanded <strong>Palatine</strong> Park District's Eagle<br />
Pool, the <strong>Village</strong> Manager may find it necessary to implement temporary on-street<br />
parking restrictions based on changing parking patterns and feedback to address<br />
neighborhood parking issues.<br />
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and <strong>Village</strong> Council <strong>of</strong>the<br />
<strong>Village</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Palatine</strong>, Cook County, Illinois:<br />
SECTION 1:<br />
The <strong>Village</strong> Manager is hereby authorized to implement<br />
temporary parking restrictions along the designated streets.<br />
SECTION 2: As outlined in the attached Exhibit "A", the temporary parking<br />
restrictions shall be authorized on: Oak Street (between Dundee Road and Home<br />
Avenue) and Garden Avenue (between Oak Street and Del Mar Drive).<br />
SECTION 3:<br />
The temporary parking restrictions shall be permitted until<br />
September 3, 2012.<br />
SECTION 4: A complete listing <strong>of</strong> the temporary parking restrictions will be<br />
maintained at all times by the <strong>Village</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Palatine</strong>.<br />
SECTION 5:<br />
Enforcement <strong>of</strong> the temporary parking restrictions shall be<br />
pursuant to Chapter 18, Article IV <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Village</strong> Code <strong>of</strong> Ordinances.<br />
