BACKGROUND:<br />
The Subject Property is a tenant space in the Boardwalk Plaza shopping center. It has been<br />
operating as a Thai-D-Lite since 2004. The Petitioner, Manus Lositisuk, is proposing to transfer<br />
the operation <strong>of</strong> the restaurant from the current operator and is therefore requesting:<br />
Transfer <strong>of</strong> Special Use #0-120-91 to permit the continued operation <strong>of</strong> a Thai-D-Lite<br />
restaurant.<br />
ANALYSIS:<br />
• There are no changes proposed to the business operations or floorplan.<br />
• The Special Use was most recently transferred to Jerry Blaine and Irma Avila. The special<br />
Use was transferred to Sumana Satyanarayana in May 2012, but that operator never<br />
opened and is apparently no longer pursuing operations at this location<br />
• There would be no changes to the business plan or floorplan. The restaurant would keep<br />
the same name and would continue to serve Thai food.<br />
ALTERNATIVES:<br />
1. Recommend approval <strong>of</strong> the Special Use Transfer.<br />
2. Do not recommend approval <strong>of</strong> the Special Use Transfer.<br />
RECOMMENDATION: <br />
Staff recommends approval <strong>of</strong> the Special Use Transfer. <br />
