BACKGROUND:
The Subject Property is a tenant space in the Boardwalk Plaza shopping center. It has been
operating as a Thai-D-Lite since 2004. The Petitioner, Manus Lositisuk, is proposing to transfer
the operation of the restaurant from the current operator and is therefore requesting:
Transfer of Special Use #0-120-91 to permit the continued operation of a Thai-D-Lite
restaurant.
ANALYSIS:
• There are no changes proposed to the business operations or floorplan.
• The Special Use was most recently transferred to Jerry Blaine and Irma Avila. The special
Use was transferred to Sumana Satyanarayana in May 2012, but that operator never
opened and is apparently no longer pursuing operations at this location
• There would be no changes to the business plan or floorplan. The restaurant would keep
the same name and would continue to serve Thai food.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Recommend approval of the Special Use Transfer.
2. Do not recommend approval of the Special Use Transfer.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the Special Use Transfer.
