4.2 Receiving<br />

4.2.1 When a message is received<br />

Each time the <strong>FELCOM</strong> <strong>15</strong> receives a telex or e-mail it displays the message<br />

“Successful Receiving message.” If Auto Receive Message Save and Auto<br />

Receive Message Print in the Auto Mode Setup are set for ON, the message is<br />

automatically saved and printed (except confidential and password affixed<br />

messages).<br />

Received message alarm<br />

If Receive Alarm in the Auto Mode Setup menu is set for ON, the audio sounds<br />

when a telex or e-mail is received. You may silence the alarm with the [F<strong>10</strong>] key.<br />

Receive message<br />

Each message received is assigned a message number. This number is also<br />

used when saving the file to a floppy disk.<br />

Message number<br />

The Log (see paragraph 4.3) shows message number, priority, date and time of<br />

transmission, LES ID and file size (in bytes) of the latest 50 received and<br />

transmitted messages.<br />

Printing<br />

When Auto Receive Message Print in the Auto Mode Setup menu is set for ON,<br />

received messages (except confidential and password affixed messages) are<br />

automatically printed. <strong>Manual</strong> printing is also available.<br />

Saving and filing<br />

Received messages are filed in the Display Message List, at the terminal unit<br />

specified with Message Output Port on the System Setup menu. The Display<br />

Message List shows the following:<br />

LES ID<br />

Priority<br />

File size (in bytes)<br />

Message classification<br />

Password for confidential messages<br />

Date and time of transmission<br />

Status<br />
