4. Press the [Enter] key to start the test. The buzzer sounds repeatedly,<br />

signifying the start of the test mode. Further, the message “Distress buttons<br />

are under test. Cancel the test mode if a real distress alert needs to sent.” is<br />

displayed in red.<br />

5. Open the [DISTRESS] button cover.<br />

6. Press the [DISTRESS] button four seconds. The buzzer sounds rapidly for<br />

three seconds and then sounds repeatedly, as in step 4. The message<br />

“Distress Button works correctly.” appears if the button is working properly.<br />

7. Close the [DISTRESS] button cover.<br />

8. To escape from the test, press the [Esc] key on the keyboard of the terminal<br />

unit twice. The test mode alarm stops and the message shown below<br />

appears to notifying you that normal operation has been restored.<br />

INF: Distress Buttons returned to NORMAL OPERATION.<br />

9. Press the [Esc] key three times to return to the standby display.<br />
