9. MAINTENANCE, TROUBLESHOOTING<br />
9.2 Diagnostics<br />
The system is equipped with a diagnostic test which checks it for proper<br />
operation.<br />
9.2.1 Self test at power on<br />
The terminal unit performs the ROM sum test and RAM read and write test when<br />
turned on. If the test results are normal the equipment goes into standby. If error<br />
is found you cannot transmit.<br />
9.2.2 Testing the terminal unit through the keyboard, displaying<br />
program version no.<br />
This test can only be initiated from the main terminal and it must be idle<br />
condition to execute the test.<br />
