FRONT WHEEL/FRONT FORK/STEERING<br />
FRONT FORK INSPECTION<br />
● Place the fork spring on a level place, and measure the<br />
free length.<br />
● If the free length deviates from the <strong>service</strong> limit,<br />
replace the springs with new ones.<br />
● Check components for damage or abnormal wear.<br />
Replace defective parts with new ones.<br />
SERVICE LIMIT : FORK SPRING : 266.3mm<br />
FRONT FORK SPRING<br />
FORK PIPE<br />
● Set the fork pipe on a V-blocks, and measure fork pipe<br />
deflection by rotating with a dial gauge.<br />
SERVICE LIMIT : Replace if the deflection is greater<br />
than 0.2mm<br />
● Check the slider bush contact face.<br />
● If the slider bush is extensively damaged, replace the<br />
bottom case.<br />
OIL SEAL STOP RING<br />
FRONT FORK ASSEMBLY<br />
● Wash parts with clean oil prior to assembling.<br />
● Assemble the rebound spring and the fork piston to the<br />
fork tube.<br />
● Assemble the fork pipe to the bottom case.<br />
● Wrap the bottom case with a piece of cloth, and fix it to<br />
the vise.<br />
● Apply screw locking agent to the socket bolt thread,<br />
and assemble the socket bolt to the fork piston.<br />
TORQUE VALUE : 2.0kgf·m<br />
! NOTE<br />
When a vise is used to hold the bottom case, do not<br />
insert the case itself but insert the bracket.<br />
