Officer<br />

Tony Tyler<br />

Tony is the Director General and,<br />

since 1 July 2011, CEO of International<br />

Air Transport Association (IATA) with<br />

over three decades of airline industry<br />

experience. Prior to joining IATA, Tony<br />

built his career at John Swire & Sons in<br />

Hong Kong. He joined the company<br />

in 1977 and in 1978 moved within the<br />

Swire Group to Cathay Pacific Airways,<br />

rising to the position of Chief Executive<br />

(2007 to 2011). Tony graduated from<br />

Oxford University in Jurisprudence.<br />

At IATA, he works from both its main<br />

offices in Montreal, Canada and<br />

Geneva, Switzerland. He is a Fellow of<br />

the Royal Aeronautical Society.<br />

Richard Churchill-Coleman,<br />

General Counsel and<br />

Company Secretary<br />

Richard is General Counsel and<br />

Company Secretary. He joined <strong>NATS</strong><br />

in June 2007 from TUI Northern<br />

Europe Limited where he held the<br />

position of Group Legal Counsel.<br />

Richard has more than 30 years’<br />

experience in the aviation industry<br />

having begun his career as an<br />

undergraduate aerospace engineer<br />

with British Aerospace plc before<br />

qualifying as a solicitor with Norton<br />

Rose and subsequently as a Chartered<br />

Secretary. Richard has previously held<br />

positions at Thomsonfly, Virgin Atlantic<br />

Airways and DHL Worldwide Express<br />

and holds a private pilot’s licence.<br />
