The presence of a companion star with the type IIb SN 2001ig has been observed previously. The companion star of SN 2001ig itself was not visible, but the resulting pinwheel effect was, as seen in Figure 6 (Ryder, et al., 2004). Future Plans SN 2008bo is early in its progression and it has not been extensively observed, so further study of SN 2008bo is warranted on both the radio and X-ray spectra. SN 2008ax is also not well studied on all bands, so further observations are need. During the fall semester, I will continue to work on studying SN 2008ax, SN 2008bo and other type IIb SN. I will focus mostly on the X-ray spectrum instead of the radio. The data also indicate there might be two subclasses of type IIb SNe. One subclass progresses rapidly and has short-term periodic oscillations (SN 2008ax and SN 2001ig), as a result of a binary interaction. The other subclass exhibits a sudden drop after a few thousand days (SN 1993J and SN 2001gd), which may also be a link between type II and type Ib/c SNe. REFERENCES Chandra, P., Stockdale, C.
