For more information and application procedures, see the <strong>Gallatin</strong> Web site.NYU FUNDING OPPORTUNITIESForeign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) FellowshipsForeign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships provide tuition,fees and a stipend to full-time graduate students who are studying a modernforeign language as part <strong>of</strong> their academic program on Europe, LatinAmerica, the Caribbean or the Middle East in preparation for a career thatwill utilize their language studies.The fellowships are administered for theU.S. Department <strong>of</strong> Education by the three designated National ResourceCenters at <strong>New</strong><strong>York</strong> <strong>University</strong>.Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanentresidents and must enroll in one language course each semester.Students in all disciplines are eligible to apply. Summer FLAS awards arealso available for intensive language study in the U.S. and abroad.
