You can issue triggers forbursts and sweeps using internal triggering, single triggering, orexternal triggering.œ Internal or “automatic” triggering is enabled when you turn on thefunction generator. In this mode, the function generator outputscontinuously when the burst mode or sweep mode is selected.œ Single triggering outputs one burst or initiates one sweep each timeyou press Single from the front-panel. Continue pressing this key tore-trigger the function generator.œ Pressing Single to enable the single trigger mode also enables theexternal trigger mode. External triggering is like the front-panelsingle trigger mode except that you apply a trigger signal to therear-panel Ext Trig terminal. The function generator is triggered onthe rising edge of a TTL pulse.œ The Single key is disabled when in remote (the Rmt annunciatorturns on when in remote) and when a function other than burst orsweep is selected.98
