Chapter 2 Front-Panel Menu OperationTo trigger a burst or sweepTo trigger a burst or sweepYou can issue triggers from the front-panel for burst modulation andfrequency sweeps using single trigger or internal trigger.2Enables single trigger andtriggers the generator.Enables internal trigger.Trig annunciator is on when thegenerator is waiting for single trigger(internal trigger disabled).œ Internal or “automatic” triggering is enabled when you turn on thefunction generator. In this mode, the function generator outputscontinuously when burst modulation or sweep is selected.œ Single triggering outputs one burst or initiates one frequency sweepeach time you press Single . Continue pressing this key to re-triggerthe function generator.œ Pressing Single to enable the single trigger mode also enables theexternal trigger mode. External triggering is like the single triggermode except that you apply a trigger signal to the rear-panel Ext Trigterminal. The function generator is triggered on the rising edge of aTTL pulse.œ The Single key is disabled when in remote (the Rmt annunciatorturns on when in remote) and when a function other than burstmodulation or sweep is selected.51
