Chapter 5 Error MessagesArbitrary Waveform ErrorsArbitrary Waveform ErrorsThe following errors indicate failures that may occur during anarbitrary waveform download. Refer to “Arbitrary WaveformCommands,” starting on page 174, for more information.780 VOLATILE arb waveform has not been loadedThe DATA:COPY command copies the waveform downloaded intoVOLATILE memory to the specified name. You must download thewaveform using the DATA VOLATILE or DATA:DAC VOLATILE commandprior to a copy operation.781 Not enough memory to store new arb waveform; use DATA:DELeteUp to four user-defined waveforms can be stored in non-volatilememory. Use the DATA:DEL command to delete the waveform inVOLATILE memory or any of the four user-defined waveforms innon-volatile memory. Use the DATA:CAT? command to list allwaveforms currently stored in volatile and non-volatile memory.782 Cannot overwrite a built-in arb waveformYou cannot overwrite the names of the five built-in arbitrary waveforms. The following names are reserved and cannot be used with the DATA:COPYcommand: SINC, NEG_RAMP, EXP_RISE, EXP_FALL, and CARDIAC.783 Arb waveform name too longThe arb name can contain up to 8 characters (used with DATA:COPYcommand). The first character must be a letter (A-Z), but the remainingcharacters can be numbers (0-9) or the underscore character (“ _ ”).Blank spaces are not allowed.784 Name of source arb waveform for copy must be VOLATILEThe DATA:COPY command copies the arbitrary waveform downloadedinto VOLATILE memory to the specified name. The source for the copyoperation is always “VOLATILE” (you cannot copy from any other name).240
