Chapter 3 Features and FunctionsFrequency SweepSweep TimeThe sweep time specifies the number of seconds required to sweep fromthe start frequency to the stop frequency. The number of frequencypoints in the sweep depends on the sweep time you select and isautomatically calculated by the function generator.œ Sweep time: 1 ms to 500 seconds. The default is 1 second.œ The function generator computes between 2,048 and 4,096 frequencypoints from the start frequency to the stop frequency.œ Front-Panel Operation:3: SWP TIME (SWP MENU)œ Remote Interface Operation:SWEep:TIME {|MINimum|MAXimum}Sweep ModeYou can sweep with either linear or logarithmic spacing. The outputfrequency of a linear sweep changes linearly during the duration of thesweep. For logarithmic spacing, the output frequency changesexponentially during the duration of the sweep.œ Sweep mode: Linear or Logarithmic. The default is Linear.œ Front-Panel Operation:4: SWP MODE (SWP MENU)œ Remote Interface Operation:SWEep:SPACing {LINear|LOGarithmic}96
