1.1 BASIC CONTROLS (Fig. 8)<br />

Display Panel -- Four Keys Arranged in Two<br />

Islands<br />

ON/OFF Switches the instrument On/Off.<br />

LIGHT While holding down the key, ◄/► is<br />

used to switch the screen back light On/Off;<br />

▲/▼ is used to change the screen<br />

contrast.<br />

ESC Terminates a current operation and returns<br />

to the Main Menu.<br />

RUN Starts measuring the station with the<br />

displayed coordinates.<br />

Handle Control -- Four Arrowed Keys<br />

These are multi-functional switches and their actual<br />

operation or function depends on the specific menu<br />

displayed.<br />

▲/▼ (Up/Down) Moves the cu<strong>rs</strong>or up/down through a<br />

menu.<br />

◄ (Left) Escapes from a current menu to return<br />

to the previous level and saves a<br />

selected option.<br />

► (Right) Selects an option from a menu, or<br />

initiates a procedure/operation.<br />

source like solar batteries or a car<br />

charging cable.<br />

Do not allow any liquid to enter the sampling aperture. The resulting serious damage<br />

to the analytical units is not covered by the warranty!
