12.1 Summary FURTHER DEVELOPMENT Several tasks that must be completed to fully develop the wind turbine design were de- fined. Special emphasis was placed on the design of an axial flux permanent magnet generator and the electrical system, as well as the development of a prototype. Spin-off projects, which are not mandatory, but which may be of interest, were also de- fined. These include dynamic modelling of a yawed and furled rotor, as well as the development of an alternative blade design. 101
