The headlight switch neednot be on, and the lever will return to thenormal position when released.Headlight auto-leveling malfunctionindicator lightThis indicator light stays on far a fewseconds when the ignition switch is turnedto the ON position.Thereafter, the indicator light willilluminate when the headlight autolevelingsystem has a malfunction.▼ Headlight Leveling*The number of riders and weight of cargoin the luggage compartment change theangle of the headlights.The angle of the headlights will beautomatically adjusted when turning onthe headlights.If the indicator light illuminates, contactan Authorized Mazda Dealer.▼ Daytime Running Lights(Canada)In Canada, vehicles must be driven withthe headlights on during daytimeoperation.For that reason, the daytime running lightsautomatically turn on when the ignitionswitch is turned to the ON position.NOTEThe running lights go off when theparking brake is applied.*Some models.5-49Form No. 8R65-EA-03C

The signal will self-cancel afterthe turn is completed.Fog Lights*Use this switch to turn on the fog lights.They help you to see as well as to be seen.To turn the front fog lights on, rotate thefog light switch to the position.The headlight switch must be in theposition to turn on the front fog lights.If the indicator light continues to flashafter a turn, manually return the lever toits original position.Right lanechangeRight turnOFFFog light switchLeft lanechangeLeft turnGreen indicators on the dashboard showwhich signal is working.Lane-change signalsMove the lever slightly toward thedirection of the change —until theindicator flashes— and hold it there. Itwill return to the off position whenreleased.To turn them off, rotate the fog lightswitch to the or OFF position or turnthe headlight switch to the OFF position.NOTEThe fog lights will turn off when theheadlights are set at high beam.NOTEIf an indicator light stays on withoutflashing or if it flashes abnormally, theturn signal bulb may be burned out.5-50*Some models.Form No. 8R65-EA-03C
