Pickup a CD by grasping the outer edge orthe edge of the hole and the outer edge.• Do not insert cleaning discs in the CDplayer/changer.• Do not insert any disc with a peel-offor seal on it.• Do not stick paper or tape on the CD.Avoid scratching the reverse side (theside without a label).• Dust, finger smudges, and dirt candecrease the amount of light reflectedfrom the signal surface, thus affectingsound quality. If the CD shouldbecome soiled, gently wipe it with asoft cloth from the center of the CD tothe edge.• Do not use record sprays, antistaticagents, or household spray cleaners.Volatile chemicals such as benzine andthinner can also damage the surface ofthe CD and must not be used. Anythingthat can damage, warp, or fog plasticshould never be used to clean CDs.• CDs, like traditional audio records, aremade of plastic. To avoid warping,keep the CDs in their cases and do notstore them where they will be exposedto direct sunlight.• The CD player/changer ejects the CD ifthe CD is inserted upside down. Alsodirty and/or defective CDs may beejected.• 8 cm (3 in) CDs and CD accessories(e.g. 8 cm disc adapter) cannot be usedin the CD player/changer.6-16Form No. 8R65-EA-03C
