Place the lug wrench on top of the key,apply pressure, and turn it clockwise.▼ Mounting the Tire1. Remove dirt and grime from themounting surfaces of the wheel andhub, including the hub bolts, with acloth.3. Install the lug nuts with the bevelededge inward; tighten them by hand.WARNINGWARNINGRemoving Dirt and Grime fromWheels, Hubs and Hub Bolts:When changing or replacing a tire,not removing dirt and grime from themounting surfaces of the wheel, huband hub bolts is dangerous. The lugnuts could loosen while driving andcause the tire to come off, resulting inan accident. Make sure the mountingsurfaces of the wheel, hub and lugnuts are clean before changing orreplacing tires.Don’t Apply Oil or Grease to LugNuts, Bolts:Applying oil or grease to lug nuts andbolts is dangerous. The lug nuts couldloosen while driving and cause thetire to come off, resulting in anaccident. In addition, lug nuts andbolts could be damaged if tightenedmore than necessary. Do not apply oilor grease to lug nuts and bolts and donot tighten the lug nuts beyond therecommended tightening torque.2. Mount the tire.7-16Form No. 8R65-EA-03C
