Turn the jack screw counterclockwise.Jack screwTo secure the jackPerform the removal procedure in reverse.▼ Spare TireA temporary spare tire is not equipped withyour <strong>Mazda</strong>. If an emergency tire repair isneeded, repair the flat tire with theemergency flat tire repair kit (page 7-5). Ifyou require a temporary spare tire, consultan Authorized <strong>Mazda</strong> Dealer.Wheninstalling a temporary spare tire, followthe manufacturer’s instructions for thetemporary spare tire.The temporary spare tire is lighter andsmaller than a conventional tire, and isdesigned only for emergency use andshould be used only for VERY shortperiods. Temporary spares shouldNEVER be used for long drives orextended periods.WARNINGDriving with a Temporary Spare Tireon Ice or Snow:Driving with a spare tire on the rear(driving) wheels on ice or snow isdangerous. Handling will be affected.You could lose control of the vehicleand have an accident. Put the sparetire on the front axle and move aregular tire to the rear.7-4Form No. 8R65-EA-03C
