To hold a station, press thescan button ( , ) again during thisinterval.Preset channel tuningThe 6 preset channels can be used to store6 AM and 12 FM stations.1. To set a channel first select AM, FM1,or FM2. Tune to the desired station.2. Depress a channel preset button forabout 2 seconds until a beep is heard.The preset channel number and stationfrequency will be displayed. Thestation is now held in the memory.3. Repeat this operation for the otherstations and bands you want to store.To tune one in the memory, select AM,FM1, or FM2 and then press itschannel preset button. The stationfrequency and the channel number willbe displayed.NOTEIf the power supply is interrupted (fuseblows or the battery is disconnected),the preset channels will be canceled.Auto memory tuningThis is especially useful when driving inan area where the local stations are notknown. Additional AM/FM stations canbe stored without disturbing thepreviously set channels.Press and hold the auto memory button( ) for about 2 seconds until a beepis heard; the system will automaticallyscan and temporarily store up to 6 stationswith the strongest frequencies in eachselected band in that area.After scanning is completed, the stationwith the strongest frequency will be tunedand its frequency displayed.Press and release the auto memory button( ) to recall stations from the autostoredstations. One stored station will beselected each time; its frequency andchannel number will be displayed.NOTEIf no stations can be tuned afterscanning operations, "A" will bedisplayed.6-23Form No. 8R65-EA-03C

At the end of the cassette tape,the unit automatically reverses cassettetape play. When is lit, the cassettetape’s top side is playing. When is lit,the bottom side is on.PlayingPress the cassette tape play button( ) to start play when a cassettetape is in the unit. If there isn’t a cassettetape in the unit when the cassette tapeplay button ( ) is pressed, "NOTAPE" will flash on and off.Dolby noise reductionWhen using a tape with Dolby NR*, pushthe Dolby NR button ( ). Thesymbol will be displayed.
