(Theperiod of effectiveness isindicated on the bottle label.)• The tear or puncture exceedsabout 4 mm (0.16 in).• The damage has occurred to anarea of the tire other than thetread.• The vehicle has been driven withnearly no air remaining in thetire.• The tire has come off the wheelrim.• Damage to the wheel rim hasoccurred.• The tire has two or morepunctures.▼ Using the IMS Emergency FlatTire Repair Kit1. Park on a level surface off the right-ofwayand set the parking brake.2. Put a vehicle with an automatictransmission in Park (P), a manualtransmission in Reverse (R) or 1, andturn off the engine.3. Turn on the hazard warning flasher.4. Unload passengers and luggage, andremove the emergency flat tire repairkit.5. Shake the tire sealant well.CAUTIONIf the bottle is shaken after theinjection hose is screwed on, tiresealant could spray out from theinjection hose.
