Ifa controlled braking before the use of the restart lock is necessary, the drivemust be braked and the input STO must be separated from +24 V time-delayed.The restart lock STO does not provide an electrical separation from the poweroutput. If access to the motor power terminals is necessary, the drive must bedisconnected from mains supply considering the discharging time of the intermediatecircuit. There is a danger of electrical shock and personnel injury.Since the restart lock is a single-channel system, erroneous engaging will not be recognized. When wiring theinput STO within one enclosure it must be paid attention to the fact that the used cables and the enclosuremeet the requirements of IEC 60204-1.If you are wiring leads outside the specified enclosure,then the cables must be laid durably and protected fromoutside damage.56 Kollmorgen | December 2009
