Standard’s Text Pre-described Finding PDFcodeengaged in international air navigationA1-1.2.2.1 When a Contracting State renders valid a licenceissued by another Contracting State, as an alternativeto the issuance of its own licence, it shall establishvalidity by suitable authorization to be carried with theformer licence accepting it as the equivalent of thelatter. When a State limits the authorization to specificprivileges, the authorization shall specify theprivileges of the licence which are to be accepted asits equivalent. The validity of the authorization shallnot extend beyond the period of validity of the licence.The authorization ceases to be valid if the licenceupon which it was issued is revoked or suspended.Note.- This provision is not intended to preclude theState that issued the licence from extending, by asuitable notification, the period of validity of thelicence without necessarily requiring either thephysical return of the licence or the appearance of thelicence holder before the Authorities of that State.CC-29c Documents carried in aircraftEvery aircraft of a contracting State, engaged ininternational navigation, shall carry the followingdocuments in conformity with the conditionsprescribed in this Convention.c) The appropriate licences for each member of thecrew.CC-32a Licences of personnela) The pilot of every aircraft and the other members ofthe operating crew of every aircraft engaged ininternational navigation shall be provided withcertificates of competency and licences issued orrendered valid by the State in which the aircraft isregistered.CC-40 Validity of endorsed certificates and licencesNo aircraft or personnel having certificates or licencesso endorsed shall participate in internationalnavigation, except with the permission of the State orStates whose territory is entered.
