Pre-flight action for flights away from thevicinity of an aerodrome, and for all IFR flights, shall include acareful study of available current weather reports and forecasts,taking into consideration fuel requirements and an alternativecourse of action if the flight cannot be completed as planned.A6-I-4.3.6.1 A flight shall not be commenced unless, taking into account boththe meteorological conditions and any delays that are expected inflight, the aeroplane carries sufficient fuel and oil to ensure that itcan safely complete the flight.
