Standard’s Text Pre-described Finding PDFcodeAnnex 6, Part I.Note 2.- An applicant accepted as meeting theseprovisions is deemed to continue to do so unlessthere is reason to suspect otherwise, in which case anophthalmic report is required at the discretion of theLicensing Authority. Both uncorrected and correctedvisual acuity are normally measured and recorded ateach re-examination. Conditions which indicate aneed to obtain an ophthalmic report include: asubstantial decrease in the uncorrected visual acuity,any decrease in best corrected visual acuity, and theoccurrence of eye disease, eye injury or eye surgery.A1-6.3.3.2.1 Applicants may use contact lenses to meet thisrequirement provided that:a) the lenses are monofocal and non-tinted;b) the lenses are well tolerated; andc) a pair of suitable correcting spectacles is keptreadily available during the exercise of the licenceprivileges.Note.- Applicants who use contact lenses may notneed to have their uncorrected visual acuitymeasured at each re-examination provided the historyof their contact lensprescription is known.A20 I 3 A1-2.1.10.1 A Contracting State, having issued pilot licences, shallnot permit the holders thereof to act as pilot-incommandof an aircraft engaged in internationalcommercial air transport operations if the licenceholders have attained their 60th birthday or, in thecase of operations with more than one pilot where theother pilot is younger than 60 years of age, their 65thbirthday.A20 I 3 A1-2.1.10.1 A Contracting State, having issued pilot licences, shallnot permit the holders thereof to act as pilot-incommandof an aircraft engaged in internationalcommercial air transport operations if the licenceholders have attained their 60th birthday or, in thecase of operations with more than one pilot where theother pilot is younger than 60 years of age, their 65thPIC over 60 in single pilotoperationsPIC over 65 in multipilotoperationsA20-17A20-18Instructions forcompleting the detaileddescription<strong>SAFA</strong> Coordination Section Page 106 of 217© European Aviation Safety Agency, 2012 V 2.0
